What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
So what is a production company?
A production company helps to create a film by providing the physical basis in the form of budgeting, talent sourcing, resources, scheduling, scripting, organisation of staff, production, post-production and marketing. This means that they overlook the whole creation from paper to finished product. The production company are also responsible for any problems that occur, for example property damage, or an actor getting injured on set.
Our Production Company
Our credits
For our opening credits, we decided to keep it in the typical format. We displayed our chosen distributor's logo (Film 4), followed by our production company name. These usually come first to credit the teams that helped to get the film out into the world. Then, we displayed our leading actors names, which is common even with unknown actors, as this credits them for their overall role. After that, we credited two of our production crew, as the teams often get credit by name.
